With today’s overdose crisis, recreational drug use has become dangerous, more and more people are looking for substance free events to enjoy holidays. This New Year’s event is the first of its kind to open its doors to people in recovery, and the community at large to celebrate New Year’s Sober. We hope the event will help someone who is thinking of using alone, to reconsider, and learn how to have fun substance free.
Party Sober for New Years Eve
Huge crowds are expected to ring in the New Year’s with the legendary band, the Time Benders who will put on a show featuring 50 years of music, 15 costume changes and one incredible show.
For those who want the club feel, without the club triggers, Local Dj’s will be playing on the theatre level with electronica beats.
Truffles catering is preparing a delicious meal featuring carving strip loin stations, and all the fixings.
Recovery Day BC is a nonprofit organization that organizes the Recovery Day BC Street Festival, over 20,000 people showed up in 2018, and they plan on growing even more in 2019. This New Year’s Event is a fundraiser for Recovery Day BC 2019
Recovery Day BC celebrates recovery from addiction and mental health issues, and brings pathways to recovery together, building recovery capital in the community, believing that we can heal from the overdose crisis, by inspiring people.
