The Center for Motivation & Change (CMC) is a unique, private group practice of dedicated clinicians and researchers in New York City specializing in the treatment of substance use and compulsive behaviors.

The most innovative leaders in progressive addiction treatment in the US offer a groundbreaking, science-based guide to helping loved ones overcome addiction problems and compulsive behaviors.

Beyond Addiction eschews the theatrics of interventions and tough love to show family and friends how they can use kindness, positive reinforcement, and motivational and behavioral strategies to help their loved ones change. Drawing on forty collective years of research and decades of clinical experience, the authors present the best practical advice science has to offer.

Are you an addiction survivor?

25 survivor stories are being shared to help raise awareness around Addiction
(foremost) and to help grow funds needed to give back over the holidays to The Sanctuary at the UGM in Vancouver Canada. The Sanctuary is a woman’s long term residential treatment facility for mothers and mothers to be. It is our mission to gift all these women with a quality gift bag – each lled with things to make them feel their value and worth for
the hard work they are putting into change their lives for themselves and their babies/kids.

Heidi from Addictive Designs will be on our show to share a bit of her story and the cause.

“My name is Heidi, I am the founder and owner of Addictive Designs and I am a survivor. I came into recovery April 22, 2011 – I was 38 years old. In the moment I arrived I was broken; actually smashed – into a million little pain-filled pieces. I had lost my son to the ministry of children, my families trust, all of my belongings, my license, my friends, my dignity, my health, my well being and my capabilities to be a functioning member of society.” i-stand-strong
