Hey everyone, Cody here. I started experimenting with drinking when I was 12 years old and very quickly the consequences became evident in my life. It took many years after that and become dependent on many other substances to finally admit that I needed help and could not stop on my own.
Recovery Month Canada MOTION WINS in the House of Commons!
On September 28th, 2022 Member of Parliament for New Westminster-Burnaby Peter Julian tabled Motion-10 to recognize and support Canadians recovering from addiction and demonstrate that recovery from addiction is possible attainable, and sustainable
It has been a wonderful season and harvest at Last Door’s Keystone Retreat, where clients get to enjoy weeklong retreats, and families can participate in Last Door’s 4 Day Family Enhancement Program. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped in the gardens, and all the families who took part in creating their recovery plans.

As part of the Alberta model of recovery-oriented addiction and mental health care, the Alberta Government is supporting Last Door’s My Recovery Plan Software to be onboarded by 30 Alberta Bed Based Addiction Treatment Service Providers
This has been a two-year process to get to the onboarding phase with multiple weekly meetings taking place, we are finally here.
Outcomes, research, and client care will all improve. And with other Canadian addiction treatment service providers also using the My Recovery Plan software – this project has become one of Canada’s most innovative interventions in addiction healthcare.
