Are You Ready for Clean Sober and Proud 2023?

Last Door’s Clean, Sober, and Proud committee started in 2008 as a small entry in the Pride Parade consisting of nine people wanting to have sober fun during Pride Day. This small idea has evolved into award winning floats, community and outreach booths at various Prides, and a street party that gets bigger every year.

providing a sober space for LGBTQIA2+ people to celebrate pride is important to helping people sustain recovery from addiction. This gives people the opportunity to be themselves without judgement and to participate in activities that make them feel included and accepted. It also allows them to be around other people who are also in recovery and understand the importance of staying sober. Additionally, it provides a safe and supportive environment for people to continue to work on their recovery and to celebrate their identities.

Outreach Addiction Recovery Booths

Last Door travels Pride Events across the lower mainland to educate communities about addiction recovery, reduce stigma, and be available to offer support. We recognize that attending Pride events can be a meaningful and important experience for people in recovery, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community. Our team is committed to representing and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in a respectful and responsible manner.

We are dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees. At Pride events, Last Door staff will be available to provide resources, answer questions, and offer support. We will also be educating the community about our programs and services to help reduce stigma and create awareness about addiction recovery.
